Blink In Faux Mink Online shop & Kryolan HD Primer

With so many cosmetics out there, where do you start with finding something that 1) Does what it says it will do and 2) Does not cost the earth? I started my journey with trialing products from Blink In Faux Mink Online shop. I chose BIFM as they have a selection of lovely lashes in different materials which are all Cruelty Free, they also sell an iconic brand called Kryolan Makeup which, in “the industry” is a makeup used by professional makeup artists in television and theatre. The website is easy to navigate around and has great product information! My package arrived in a couple of days so I invited some friends around to trial the products with me. All is excited! We started with the Kryolan HD Primer. Now, I’ve used a few primers in my life, some left me feeling like why did I bother putting this on today...behold!! This primer feels silky smooth, you can already feel and see the layer sitting on top of your skin after you apply, this is what we want to see so we know the foundation is going to sit on top of the silicon base beauty. You will also notice fine lines are a little smoother.

There was a range of foundations to choose from heavy down to medium/natural. I ordered the Kryolan Dual Finish powder and applied with a powder brush, I started with a small dust over my face then applied another layer over eyelids, nose and under the eyes. You can also contour with the Kryolan Dual Finish if you have other colours (there is a 6 pack of this product also which would be perfect for contouring and as a foundation). This powder does not cake and left me looking very very natural with perfect skin! Tick...actually double tick for these 2! The last product we trialled today was the Kryolan Skinliner- I used this in my brows to give a natural hair stroke look, this skinliner is unbelievable!! Not only is it smudge proof and waterproof, the brows looked natural and full. This is now my favourite product in the world! I also applied to my upper eyelid lash line, it was so smooth and very easy to draw a beautiful straight (not wonky as we see on some) line! We recommend the products used at Blink In Faux Mink. This is a trusted Australian Company- to see their range go to www.blinkinfauxmink.com.au

The History of the Fake Eyelash.

The fake eyelash was first documented as far back as the Roman Empire. However it wasn't until 1911 that the idea of the artificial lash was first deemed something worthy of marketing and the first patent was submitted for the artificial lash. By the mid 1900’s fake lashes were being promoted in top New York salons. It wasn't long after, that Hollywood took note of this fashion ‘must’ and the Hollywood director. D. W. Griffith who was filming Intolerance  requested his leading star Seena Owen wear a set! Unfortunately the application and materials used in the 1900’s were not like today and the actress had a reaction to the glue. It was noted in her memoirs that ‘One morning she arrived at the studio with her eyes swollen nearly shut’.
The fake eyelash still had a long way to go, and in the 1920’s people were still somewhat skeptical of the fake eyelash, this was not the case for the more fashion conscious!

The 1930’s changed everything, with Vogue giving the fake lash its official stamp of approval.

The 1940’s and 1950’ was a game changer and Hollywood starlets like Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth loved wearing Fake Lashes, especially in photo shoots . This would make the eyes look larger and more eye catching.
As the years progressed, the quality of both the glues and lash materials improved.
The Mink lash took hold and not until recently we see the Faux mink range becoming more and more popular  due to awareness of animal cruelty. Blink In Faux mink are proud to supply the best quality lash line with ALL products being cruelty free - Buy your set of lashes today

Kryolan Makeup, Kryolan Concealer Wheel, Kryolan TV Paintstick, Cruelty Free Lashes

Are you getting married soon or wanting picture perfect photos with beautiful professional makeup? Listen up..we are going to let you in on a secret. Kryolan Makeup has been a family business for over 30 years. It was formerly used only for TV, Theatre and purchased mainly by Professional Makeup Artists. Kryolan is now retailing through Blink In Faux Mink Online Shop. Made in Berlin, you can rest assured you are purchasing exactly what the item is telling you it does. Let’s start with Kryolan Concealer Wheel . This beauty covers everything from under eye darkness through to pigmentation and tattoos. You can blend it out with a touch of oil for a duey look if that’s the look your going for or mix it with the just as famous Kryolan TV Paintstick for a full coverage finish. Photography Makeup does need to be heavier than your everyday makeup as the light draws out some of your makeup, around 30-40%. Wearing Lashes is also a benefit with photography due to the lighting removing some detail of your natural lashes.

Cruelty Free Lash Cosmetic Companies in Australia

I was given the job today to find eyelashes online for this Blog, I’ve had not much experience in the Lash Industry, to me it was like going through a maze, where to start and what am I looking for? As an Animal lover, I first started looking for Cruelty Free Lash Companies, and also Cruelty Free Cosmetic Companies. I was amazed at one I stumbled across, Blink In Faux Mink, eyelash Company in Australia, they not only sell Cruelty Free Lashes in forms on Faux MInk, Silk and Human Hair, though they also put out there, in a bold and educating way, the cruelty behind these Mink Farms for Mink Eyelashes, which I later found out that the also make Mink eyebrows! Who would have thought? Blink In Faux Mink  website is very modern, the products look amazing, they are also a stockist for Kryolan Makeup so for me this was a massive 10/10 business and was very excited to come across Blink In Faux Mink. I have ordered my NewYork Lashes for the weekend, the process was so so easy and enjoyable. If you are after some great lashes, I put forward to you. Blink In Faux MInk. Cruelty Free Lashes and Cruelty Free Makeup on Blink In Faux Mink

In a world with so much cruelty isn’t it nice to see Companies such as Blink In Faux Mink bringing out a gorgeous selection of Cruelty Free Lashes. When I had a chat to the Director Emma this afternoon, she was second to none with the passion she has with her Lash range. Emma comes from a Makeup background, a Makeup Artist of 20 years. She started researching the Lashes she wore over the years, and found that Mink Lashes , which are still extremely popular unfortunately, were coming from inhabitant Fur Farms.

“What people are looking for are fluffy, glamorous lashes...not plastic looking which a lot of the false lashes are, which is why Mink is so popular. So I thought….why can’t we have a Faux Mink lash that imitates the look of real fur without the cruelty to Minks and Horses?  So I went on my journey to find the best Cruelty Free Lash materials. Our range are all hand made. I have also incorporated Kryolan Professional Makeup to our range, in which are another Cruelty Free Makeup Range to give people the total look and best of all we are online so you don’t need to leave the house to shop!”
I myself have today tried a pair on Blink In Faux MInk Lashes, admittedly this is the first time in my life wearing lashes. I have kept them on and will go out this evening with them, let’s see who notices first! Ha!  They are very comfortable and have made my eyes look larger and….truly speaking...I think I now look a little more glam.
Well done Emma and Thank you.  We hope you soar with Blink In Faux MInk.
